Ogallala High School Wrestling Philosophy

You Get Out What You Put In

We believe that winning is not the most important thing about wrestling. It is more important to have given a good fight, win or lose. Just as in life, taking part to the fullest is all we can ask of ourselves.

What is a better way for a person to build and develop confidence, discipline, and respect for the rewards that hard work brings? How about the oldest sport known to man- Wrestling!

We believe it is important to learn how to work hard, not just for competition, but also to be prepared for the matches life can throw at all of us.

We view wrestling as a place to develop the body, soul, and mind. It is a place to develop positive habits for health and self-esteem, great fellowship among positive people and endless friendships and experiences.

THE BATTLE THAT MAKES YOU A CHAMPION IS FOUGHT IN YOUR MIND NOT ON THE MAT!
